Japanese tournaments

And now let's travel two mounths back in time to see how did Second A-Cho Cup ended. For those who don't remember, A-Cho is a japanese arcade store, where many strong players play. Last december they yet again ran a big tournament, that included GGXX#R 3v3 team tourney. And it ended like this:

1. IKE! Oganiumu: Kaqn (Jam), Ogawa (Eddie), Koichi (Millia)
2. Blood phantom Type 0: P.C. (Sol), N-Otoko (Venom), Let's (Jam)
3-4. Kawabanga: Pierced Earrings of Mabo (Eddie), MDR (Chipp), Dei (Testament); Jinsei kin saiku: Ruu (Bridget), Saku (Slayer), Shonen (Testament)

As you can see, in finals there were two pro-teams. Unluckily for all us, A-cho decided on releasing a video-DVD, so we're not going to get any vids until then...

Meanwhile, Tougeki 2005 aka Super Battle Opera 3 is getting closer. It will be held in Tokyo in the beginning of May, and I am really looking forward seeng vids from this event. Unfortunately for USA players, their #Reload team wasn't granted slot in SBO finals (both because of high demand on those slots and last year's absence of USA team) but they still have a chance at last-day qualifiers.

GuiltyGear.ru Invitational 2004.

Last Saturday we ran a tournament that gathered best GGXX#R players from all over the Russia. Eight players recieved invites via our rating system, and four more slot were earned by finalists of two preliminary tournaments (with 32 and 22 participants correspondingly). After round robin eight people were cut to single elimination, and the winner was revealed:

1. OverKilL (Sol)
2. Xa-happy (Ky)
3. Llanowar (Baiken)
4. VED (Ky)
5-8. Mechanism (Slayer), BioLogIn (Venom), Fujiwara (Jam), Hulio (Ky)

Thus ended the season of 2004 year. Next month we will open season-2005 with GG Isuka and GGXX#Reload tournaments.

Stay tuned.

Lame excuses

I know, I promised to write something yesterday. I know, I didn't, and neither I did today. But come on, we'll be playing best GG tourney so far in 4 days, and I haven't trained for like a month. So, please, bear with me for a week more, and I'll try to redeem myself then...

Here. Now.

After a long break we are back. As you can see, we were not resting peacefully, but worked on new site layout, structure and scripts instead. We haven't finished the work yet, but we hope to in nearest future. There is much left to be done - like adding search engine to cover entire site, or like replacing text submenu with graphical one, or like reworking Gallery structure, or multiple updates asccumulated diring last month.. - but we just couldn't wait any longer. For now, feel free to use site map, since we reduced amount of sections from 8 to 6 and thus moved some subsection.

I'll try to write more detailed description of changes tomorrow, for now just use the site map to navigate though sections. Well, that's it for today... and stay tuned, more updates are coming!

P.S. I can not stop myself from giving my deepest respects to Hate, who done the biggest part of work on this new version of site. Thank you, my friend, for digging through all those w3c, php, png, rtfm and tons of other languages, abbreviations, file formats and so on and so forth.
