More GGaming.

Just two days ago version 0.2.7.9 of Fierce Gear was released. This version supports online play, so hurry up and test it - programmer need help with testing anyways. Not to mention playing Reload online is a great thing indeed...

European preliminaries of Super Battle Opera 2005 are all finished. In GGXX#R 3v3 the winning team is Coungster\Key Kerrigan\Joe Hagashi. The first one won last France Nationals with Johnny, and the last one is playing Chipp AFAIK. Not much of info, but I hope, more will be coming soon...

Accumulated knowledge

It is been a while. Let's try to sort everything out:

There were some major tournaments both in Europe and States. France was running preliminary tournaments for Super Battle Opera 2005 (check news from February 23 for more info). Top4 teams from Strossburg and Cannes will fight for one slot at SBO in Paris on 26th of March. It would be quite a battle, so I'd recommend to keep an eye on it.
Meanwhile, States ran Texas Showdown number 5, where 70 people attended GGXX#R tournament. Top8 was split between States and Japanese players, but in the end, japanese players took the prises. Which is more interesting, There were 4 Eddies in the top8 (and 2 in the top2), which could mean there are still some balance issues in this game...

Which is very well illustrated by an Arcadia article concerning #Reload tiers. This info was first brought to us by rezo from gamecombos forums, and yesterrday it was translated to English by Ed Chang from RomanCancel.com. To make a long story short, this tiers are a personal opinions of two japanese pro-gamers, Ogawa and Pachi. Here are the rankings:
S Eddie
A Jam, Slayer
B Robo, Millia, Dizzy
C Bridget, Sol
D Axl, Faust, Venom
E Potemkin, I-no, Johnny, Baiken
F Ky, Testa, Zappa, May
G Chipp, Anji

There are some non-tournament news left still. Zazzarius did worked hard on ripping A.B.A sprites, and thanks to him you can get your fix of keys here.

Now few words about us. A short to-do list: a) fix the Gallery, b) fix submenus, c) fix another boatload of everything, d) get Characters section back online (that means tons of html-ness), e) complete links section (any help with art links?), f) open for you some video and music bonuses we already iploaded g) and another bunch of small things. Have any suggestons or any feedback? Mail us!

Some links are in...

I started working on our Links section. So far like 1/4th of video links completed, more links coming tomorrow. And let's all hope we will add links sort and search in nearest future...

New project appeared.

New english site about Guilty Gear just opened today. It was named Roman Cancel, and it is quite capable of replacing GameCombos, since they have both fresh #Reload frame data and moderated forums. Also they have all content of TheGearProject, although I'm not sure that uniting people who try to learn dust loop and people who argue about Dizzy's father is a good idea... still, I liked this new site alot. Good luck, RomanCancel.com!

Tourney news

We're getting closer to second european SBO2005 qualifiers. They will be held on February 26-27th in Cannes. There will be GGXX#Reload 3-man team qualification for final tournament, which will be on May 4-5th in Tokyo (or should Cannes winners play versus Strousburg winners for SBO slot? dunno...). They expect some players from Germany and Switzerland, so competition surely will be high. Thanks to Ben from Arctic Charge forums for details about this event.
